B103C Here is a gorgeous Dallasite Jasper bead. This bead measures 1 1/2" in height by over 1" in length by 1/4" in width. This bead lays flat and has a nice tear drop shape. Jasper, or spotted stone, is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz that is usually red, yellow or brown in color. Picture Jaspers simultaneously exhibit several variants such as banding, flow patterns, dendrites or color variations. This results in what appears to be scenes or images in a cut section of the Jasper. |

B104C Here is a very nice oval shaped African Sodalite bead. This beads measure 1" in length x 1 1/2" in height x 1/4" in width. Sodalite is a rich royal blue mineral enjoyed as an ornamental stone. Although massive samples are opaque, Crystals are usually transparent to translucent. It is very similar to Lapis but with out the Pyrite Crystals and distinguishable color differences. It makes great jewelry, cabochons an beads.

Carnelian is a red or reddish-brown variant of Chalcedony but also may come in the colors of orange and pink. It is quite common and usually found in translucent pebble form. It is found in several areas of Europe, Iceland and Madagascar. |
