PN208B This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 3/4" in length and 1" in height faceted Lapis stone. This pendant measures 1 3/4" from the top to the bottom.  The bail measures 1/4" in size.

Lapis is a stone with a long tradition of being considered a gem.  It is usually deep blue in color and is opaque.  It is a rock and not a mineral as it is made up from various other minerals.  The main component is Lazurite which is a Feldspar Silicate.  Lapis may also contain Calcite, Sodalite and Pyrite.  It is found worldwide.

PN206c  Here is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 21 mm x 37 mm Labradorite stone. This pendant measures nearly 2 1/4" from the top to the bottom.  The bail measures 1/4" in size.  This stone has a nice iridescent sheen and a warm glow in light, although it is hard to see in the photo the other photo shows the colors much better.

Labradorite is a Feldspar mineral that occurs in large Crystal masses in anorthosite and shows an iridescence or "play of colors."  Gemstone varieties of Labradorite exhibiting a high degree of iridescence are Spectrolite, Moonstone and Sunstone.  High quality samples with good iridescent qualities are desired for jewelry.

PN207B Here is a very nice, above average quality Picture Jasper Silver plated pendant.  The cabochon measures 35 mm x 40 mm. The pendant measures over 2" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4".

Jasper is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz that is usually red, yellow or brown in color.  Jasper can appear as an opaque rock with shades of red due to mineral impurities.  Patterns can arise from the formation process and flow patterns in the sediment or volcanic ash that was saturated with silica which formed the banding or swirling designs in the rock.

PN304C  This is a very pretty Silver Plated pendant with a 30mm in length and 40mm in height Crinoid stone.  This pendant measures nearly 2" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4".  There is also a small black Onyx stone.

Crinoids are a fascinating species, and this fossil is equally as fascinating. Crinoids are a filter feeding, plant like animal and first appeared on the earth's surface over 500 million years ago in the Cambrian Era. Today a close relative of the Crinoid still survives at the bottom of the ocean and is usually referred to as a "sea lily." This particular Crinoid fossil is from Morocco and weighs approximately 75 lbs and is fairly large with measurements of 30 by 35 inches. As you can see this fossil has multiple Crinoids covering the plaque and is truly stunning.

PN305c  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 23 mm x 25 mm Green Turquoise cabochon.  This pendant measures nearly 2" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4".

Turquoise is an opaque, blue to green mineral that is a mixture of Copper and Aluminum Sulfates.  It is rare and valuable in finer grades and has been prized as a gem and ornamental stone for thousands of years.  It has been devalued by the introduction of imitations and synthetics that are often hard to detect even by experts.  Turquoise is most frequently used in jewelry manufacturing and is often combined with other minerals and gemstones to enhance its beauty.  It was a favorite among Egyptians and Native American cultures.

PN303c  Here is a very nice sterling Silver pendant with a very pretty Blue Goldstone cabochon.  It measures 1 3/4" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The Blue Goldstone cabochon measures nearly 1" in  length (at its widest) by 1" in height.  The bail measures 1/4".  A very beautiful, stunning pendant.
